Faded & Found ("we", "us", "our") restores photographs for customers across Australia. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We handle your information — and your photographs — with care.

What we collect

The photos you send us. The images you upload for restoration, and the restored files we create for you.
Your contact details. Your name and email, so we can deliver your order and stay in touch about it.
Order and payment information. Processed securely through Shopify and its payment providers. We don't store your full card details.
Basic site data. Standard analytics and cookies that help the website work and help us understand how it's used.

How we use it

We use your information only to restore and deliver your photos, to contact you about your order, to process payment, and to improve our service. We won't send you marketing emails unless you've asked us to.

How your photos are restored

Every restoration is worked on and finished by a real person, using professional, AI-assisted restoration tools. Your photos are processed only to carry out your restoration. We do not use your photos to train AI models, and we never sell or share them.

How long we keep your files

We keep your uploaded and restored files only as long as we need to complete and support your order. You can ask us to delete your files at any time, and we will.

Who we share information with

We share information only with the providers that help us run Faded & Found, and only what they need: Shopify (our store and checkout), our payment providers, our photo-upload provider, and — if you order a print — our printing partner. We never sell your information.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. To make a request, email us at [your email].
